About GME Research

The objective of the Graduate Medical Education Research Office is to create a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment to stimulate and support high quality scholarly activities within our department. Our ultimate goal is to advance quality of care and patient related outcomes by providing residents and faculty with the resources, knowledge and infrastructure to plan and conduct transformative biomedical research.

2019 GME Research Day Call For Abstracts

The Graduate Medical Education Department is pleased to announce the annual Graduate Medical Education Research and Quality Improvement Day will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from 12:00pm – 4:00pm at the Creation Conference Rooms and Werner Auditorium at AdventHealth Orlando.

The Forum is open to all Residents, Fellows, and Faculty. The forum will feature basic science, clinical, education, quality improvement and patient safety projects with a focus on trainee’s research. Top presentations will receive an award!

Each Resident, Fellow, and Faculty may submit a maximum of 2 abstracts

All Abstracts must be TYPED and submitted electronically via the GME Website:

The hard deadline for submission is March 27, 2019. 

NO SUBMISSIONS ACCEPTED AFTER THIS DATE! NO EXCEPTIONS!

Information to Note: 

Accepted submissions for presentation will be notified by April 10, 2019.

Final presentations must be received by May 8, 2019. NO CHANGES after this date!

The First Author must be the one presenting the poster and must be available to present! Unattended posters will be removed from judging.  Medical Students/Volunteers are not eligible to present.

Credentials listed on submission form will appear as is on the event program. Be sure to include ALL resident/faculty involved in project on submission form along with their credentials. 

Poster title on submission form must be FINAL TITLE on POSTER  – this is the title that will be listed on the event program and judging forms. TITLE CANNOT BE CHANGED.

Research Forms & Resources

Here you will find a link to the regulatory forms for the different types of research studies, that need to be submitted to the AdventHealth Orlando Institutional Review Board (IRB) and the Office of Research Administration (ORA) prior to conducting research activities. In order to access these forms, you will need to enter your AdventHealth OpID and password.

Research Instructional Videos

Prior to conducting research activities at AdventHealth Orlando, investigators are required to complete a series of web-based training modules. This section provides a collection of videos with step-by-step instructions on how to access and register for the different training courses.
