ROTATING RESIDENTS POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

In support of its educational mission, FH GME provides rotating residents from any ACGME / AOA / CPME accredited training program in good standing with a clerkship experience that offers a variety of clinical exposures in its Residency Training Programs or with any of its registered FH Medical Staff members in good standing. A clerkship experience is designed to fulfill the requirements as outlined by the Specialty Board of the program. The purpose of this policy is to provide an environment that is safe for patients, office staff, medical trainees and medical staff; respect patients' rights to privacy and confidentiality; and enhance the educational experience of the rotating residents.

I. ROTATING RESIDENTS

1. Rotating residents must complete the FH GME application form online.

2. Rotating residents must execute an affiliation agreement between Florida Hospital and their training program prior to the start of the rotation.

3. Rotating residents must provide a copy of the Program Director letter of approval for the scheduled rotation at Florida Hospital.

4. Rotating residents must obtain the State of Florida's training license prior to the start of the rotation.

5. Rotating residents must wear both their current program's photo ID and FH ID badge at all times.

6. Rotating residents must provide malpractice coverage for the duration of their clerkship experience at Florida Hospital.

II. Limited housing is available for applicants on a first-come-first-served basis.
The housing fee is $ 200.00 per four-week period payable upon approval of the application (check or money order payable to Florida Hospital Medical Education).

FH GME housing is reserved for approved applicants only. Significant others and pets are not allowed.

III. There may be extraordinary circumstances where there is a request for a clerkship experience that does not meet the extent of this policy. Such requests may be approved at the discretion of the Director of Academic Affairs.

IV. Rotating residents will abide by all applicable Florida Hospital policies.

V. Any violation to any of the above policies will result in immediate termination of the clerkship experience.
